THEMES

Oakmead College of Technology
"Into The World Of Temptation"
Beware, the wolves are going to get you! Whatever your age, teenager, child or adult they will find a way to tempt you into their world of deception, greed and debt. Don't let your eyes deceive you!

Royal Manor Arts College
"Breaking Barriers"
Breaking Barriers is about the pressures of starting a new school and how difficult it can be. It questions whether the teachers really listen and if these who put pressure on us to fit in are really that cool.

Queen Elizabeth's School
"The Youth Of The Nation"

All young people in today's nation are responsible for tomorrow's world. Through music and dance we put aside conflict over colour, race and religion to make our future a better place and reclaim our national identity with peace and pride.

St Peter's Catholic School
"Your Now Is Time"

To belong is not just a 21st century issue. People throughout time have wanted to have their own identity. Our piece follows the journey of one boy in his quest to find his place in time.

The Grange School
"Colours United"

In a restless world, we sometimes wonder what we should be feeling about different races and cultures. Our dance celebrates the diversity that makes our world so wonderful to live in, so join us in our quest to make colours unite.

Highcliffe School DC
"Yomigaeru"

Our piece shows the rapid development in post war Japan. After devastation the country has risen from the ashes to become a major technological leader and yet still retains many traditional features. Yomigaeru means rebirth

Avonbourne School
"Is It Worth It?"

The dance aims to highlight the false highs and terrible lows when taking drugs and alcohol. Through a variety of dance genres we witness the soporific beginnings as the drug enters the body via a ballet. The piece crescendos with the high impact of hip-hop and finally leaves with tap representing the hang-over.

Lytchett Minster School
"To the Land of Milk and Honey"

We animate the images involved in the biblical story of Moses. In doing so we explore the essence and spirit of freedom, reflecting upon the history of the Jewish people and their search for an elusive land of freedom.

Sir John Colfox School
"Body Beautiful"

We considered our 21st Century obsession with looking beautiful. We decided that indulging in vices such as smoking and drinking induced unattractive qualities and may ruin your chances with the opposite sex! Thankfully we were able to perform a quick make over!
