THEMES

ABINGDON & WITNEY COLLEGE
"My Life"
This is an insight into the life of an abused girl, a life which most people would not believe could be so severe. It shows how demons control her life and how she has no one to run to.

BURFORD SCHOOL
"The World - From Another Point of View"

In these troubled times many of you - including we as teenagers - remember the relative innocence and simplicity we knew as ten year olds. Life seen from this point of view has values that we should all cherish and uphold even more in our world today

DENBIGH SCHOOL
"A Trip of a Lifetime" (or "A Lifetime Trippin")

There is always one moment in our lives when we make a decision that will affect our futures. This dramatic presentation captures that moment when we do not always make the right choices

KING ALFRED'S SCHOOL TEAM 2
"Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder"

People are always trying to improve their self-image but some people feel they can never get it right, causing them to suffer harm, mentally and physically. This performance tries to portray the message that beauty is only in the eye of the beholder.

KING EDWARD VI HANDSWORTH SCHOOL
"En Vogue"

The dance depicts the fate of a Lion, King of the Jungle. Capture, being kept in a zoo, then killed and the fur sold. All for the sake of fashion.

MATTHEW ARNOLD SCHOOL
"Phenomenal Woman"

Looking back on her life's luggage, looking back at the aspects that have made her what she is today, our phenomenal woman realises that everyone is phenomenal, no matter what they do or what they don't do.

OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOL
"Romeo and Juliet"

A re-working of the story of Romeo and Juliet. Montagues and Capulets now represent different races and the gangs idea from West Side Story is reworked in a universal setting using a musical backdrop from many eras.

SIR WILLIAM RAMSEY SCHOOL
"Think Before You Speak"

How often do you say things you don't really mean ? How often do you consider the consequences of your words and of how you leave someone feeling ? How often do you think before you speak ?
